I drove one in January 2013 at the Houston Auto Show.

1. Salesmanship, how well did the salesman attempt to weasel you into purchasing the Versa 0

Any special tactics? Notes: Tactics... um, we were entered to win a Pathfinder.

2. Versa styling 0 - In the words of James May, it's basic transportation. 4 seats, 4 wheels and an engine . There is no styling... well it was styled by the T-accounts of the Nissan Accountants.

3. Versa “performance” 0 - I can haz power?

4. How much confidence does the Versa instill in you as a driver 0 - I started questioning myself and whether I had confidence to drive it in public .

The following are “Yes” or “No” questions.

5. Would you purchase a Versa? No.

6. Do you smoke crack? No.

7. Could you live with yourself if you purchased a Versa? No .

8. Did the dealer let you drive a GTR? No... damnit . Was it fun? _____. Well, did they at least let you drive a 370Z? No... Was it fun? _____.

When I was looking for my last car, I had a Nissan Salesman tell me it was their "Sports hatch" I think I was still laughing when I left the lot.

2. Versa styling- 3/10 From the front it's okay. Everything else is nope. I do however like the note.

3. Versa "performance" 2/10 Acceleration is not there. It just moves. Slowly. Although I must mention I was at altitude, might be more urgent at my home.

4. How much confidence does the Versa instill in you as a driver 4/10

It was average. It didn't feel planted over bumps and rough sections of pavement.

The following are "Yes" or "No" questions.

5. Would you purchase a Versa? No. A note I could deal with though.

6. Do you smoke crack? No.

7. Could you live with yourself if you purchased a Versa? No. Unless a note.

8. Did the dealer let you drive a GTR? _NA_. Was it fun? __NA_. Well, did they at least let you drive a 370Z? _NA___. Was it fun? _NA__.

Notes: Started completing the sale and doing delivery stuff before my monthly payment had been finalized.

6. Do you smoke crack? No.

7. Could you live with yourself if you purchased a Versa? I'm still alive.

If yes, REALY???? Yes.

Notes: This is my second Versa. I had a 2012 1.6 S Manual, but it had issues because the previous owner was rear ended and I didn't realize how severe the damage was. Sold that 6 months ago, bought my Note today 8/25.

8. Did the dealer let you drive a GTR? Didn't have any. Was it fun? No stick shift GT-Rs...no . Well, did they at least let you drive a 370Z? Didn't try. Can't afford. Was it fun? I'm sure it would be.

Notes: I test drove a Versa Note and a Sentra, both manuals. Didn't need all the extra equipment the Sentra had so I went with the Note.
